Setting Your Working Hours & Location in Google Calendar
This article is designed to walk an individual through the steps that need to be taken to share your working hours and working modality within Google Calendar. This feature is useful when working collaboratively with others and will indicate to meeting attendees whether you’re available to attend a meeting in person or virtually. Step #1: Sign in to google calendar by visiting http://calendar.baypath.edu and signing in with your Bay Path Credentials
Step #2: Once signed in, click on the Gear icon in the top right corner and click Settings
Step #3: On the left hand side, select Working Hours & Location
Step #4: Ensure that Enable Working Hours is checked. Adjust your working hours and your location according to the schedule agreed upon with your supervisor.
Step #5: After you’ve set your working hours, click on your name on the left-hand side under Settings for my calendars. Ensure that under Access permissions for events under Make available for Bay Path University is set to See only free/busy (hide details) at a minimum. This will allow members of the Bay Path community to see if you’re working from home or on campus.
Once you’ve completed the steps above, you’re all set!
