Our email service is a web-based system powered by Google Apps (Gmail). All members of the Bay Path community are assigned a Bay Path email account when they enroll or join. This is the official email address to which the University will send electronic communications (firstname.lastname@example.org).
To access your email, click on the “Google Gmail” icon on the Welcome page on the My Bay Path Portal.
Expectations Regarding Use of Email
Students, staff, and faculty are expected to check their Bay Path email regularly to remain informed of University-related communications.
When sending emails, keep in mind that students are not allowed to email defined groups from the contacts list and are limited to thirty recipients per message.
When messages are sent to a large mailing list (such as BPU-FacStaff or BPU-Students) the best practice is to CC or BCC the mailing list so Reply-All messages aren't sent to everyone.
Using Gmail and G Suite
Along with Gmail, all members of the Bay Path community have access to all of the apps included in G Suite (Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Hangouts, etc) as well as unlimited storage space. We encourage you to take advantage of the collaborative nature of these cloud-based tools. To learn how to use these online apps, visit the G Suite Learning Center.
